Rosenberger provides a wide range of Multiport Mini-Coax connectors and cable assemblies for addressing the challenging technological demands of the semiconductor test equipment industry. For both 20 and 40 GHz applications, the extensive standard range comprises PCB connectors, purpose-designed plastic-housings and pre-assembled cable assembly sets. This ensures cable assembly configurations that precisely meet customer-specific test requirements. Board-to-board connections can be applied in very limited spaces with the advantages of coaxial shielding while a handy extraction tool ensures mating and demating can be done quickly and easily onsite. The cost-effective injection moulded housings for connection to one side of the PCB are available with 2, 4, 6 or 8 channels and allow the mixing of straight and right angle Mini-Coax cable pairs. Interface dimensions are based on Rosenberger standard Mini-Coax connectors.

Rosenberger provides a variety of snap-in D-Sub coaxial and power inserts for fast, reliable mixed card edge chassis. Their small dimensions allow high packing densities as well as easy connection. A combination including power connectors is also available on request. D-Sub Coax Inserts and cable connectors 50 Ω are designed for use in mixed card edge connections in accordance to D-Sub. The maximum frequency is approximately 2 GHz. Available on request. Power Inserts meet the requirements of DIN 41626-T1 and are designed for use in mixed card edge connections in accordance to DIN 41612 or D-Sub. Contact current 10 A, 20 A, 30 A, 40 A. Rosenberger Mini-SMP connectors are extremely small coaxial connectors, approximately 70% of standard SMP size. They are designed for applications up to 65 GHz and mainly for high-speed signal transmission (typically 10 or 40 Gbps). Plugs are available as smooth bore-versions – for plug-in technology and backplane applications – and as vibration resistant full detent types, for the highest mechanical loads such as those found in aerospace engineering. Mini-SMP subminiature connectors are well-proven, offering a high level of flexibility in alignment tolerances and for simplifying the whole production process. Rosenberger Mini-SMP coaxial connectors are mateable with common Mini-SMP connectors as specified by MIL-STD-348A, Fig. 328, as well as GPPO™ (Gilbert Engineering Co., Inc.) and SSMP™ (Carlisle Interconnect Technologies) series. The PCB connectors are supplied in tape and reel packaging for automatic assembly to boards and also in blisters.

Rosenberger HVR®50 connectors are available in straight and angled variants. The additional slide locking mechanism (CPA – Connector Position Assurance) prevents accidental disconnection. Despite their small size these connectors achieve a current capacity of approximately 60 A at 85 °C. HVR®50 connectors are mainly used in ancillary units such as electrical heating systems, air-conditioning units, DC/DC converters, and for charging batteries.
